Workers have begun construction on the Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina in Cape Coral, Florida. This food truck park, located at the base of the Cape Coral bridge is expected to have 10 food trucks, a wraparound bar, boardwalk, fuel dock and more, according to a report by News-Press.
The park has received 140 applications from food trucks and it is still accepting applications for seafood and BBQ trucks. Owner Gary Aubuchon said he was aiming for a “Disney-esque experience,” with the park.
“The magic starts when you come inside the park. You come into the main pavilion and you’ll see straight through the open-air bar to the water. It’s like being in a giant outdoor restaurant,” Aubuchon said in the report.
The park is expected to open in spring 2025.
