SAIC Motor Malaysia will be introducing a range of models new to Malaysia to the upcoming 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS), that will be taking place from December 5 to 11 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur.
New introductions from the brand to the Malaysian market will include the new ZS Hybrid, MG3 Hybrid and the MG7, in addition to the official debut of the MG Cyberster, along with the announcement of its official pricing at KLIMS 2024, according to the company.
The ZS Hybrid B-segment SUV was unveiled in its latest, 2025 model form in August this year, with its electrified powertrain comprised of a 102 PS/128 Nm 1.5 litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 136 PS/250 Nm electric motor that draws energy from a 1.83 kWh battery for combined outputs of 196 PS and 465 Nm.
Meanwhile, the MG3 Hybrid, a B-segment hatchback that made its global debut in March this year had been launched in Thailand in August, and this also gets a 1.5 litre Atkinson-cycle inline four-cylinder petrol unit producing 102 PS and 128 Nm, similarly augmented by a 136 PS/250 Nm electric motor for a combined output of 194 PS.
The Cyberster is offered with a choice of two electric powertrain variants, beginning with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive layout that outputs 340 PS and 475 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of five seconds and a top speed of 195 km/h. The next is a dual-motor AWD layout, yielding 544 PS and 725 Nm that propels the Cyberster from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and to a top speed of 201 km/h.
At present, the MG product line-up in Malaysia is comprised of the MG HS that starts from RM129,900, the MG5 at RM93,900, the MG4 EV from RM103,999, and the MG ZS EV at RM125,999.
